Overview

We work directly with health partnerships, be they individuals, institutions or NGOs. Our platform, built at low bandwidth for better connectivity, enables sustained contact throughout a programme’s lifetime as well as monitoring of impact.

We have a network of health workers in some of the world’s weakest health care systems, some of whom graduated with MedicineAfrica partnership support, as well as faculty who have received vital leadership support when they needed it.

Connect

We support health partnerships in the delivery of quality training and education focussed on individual health worker needs – be it at leadership or support level. Our network meets regularly with experts and peers in the UK and, for instance, Somaliland, the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Kashmir; building and enhancing existing capability, and strengthening weak health care systems for the future.

Education

We support programmes that aim to build strong healthcare systems, train the trainers, promote leadership, develop clinical teaching and continue professional development.

Our partners run live fully interactive courses and mentoring sessions that enable healthcare workers teach and receive appropriate and contextualized healthcare education, wherever they may be.

Service

We seek to have a positive impact at three levels: on individual healthcare workers; on delivery of services and research; and ultimately on improved patient health outcomes.

Research

We apply sound, evidence-based methods to everything we do, whether in healthcare, education or research. If we find gaps in evidence, we try to fill these with our own research, or by supporting others.

Evaluation

Our platform is configured to monitor and evaluate an individual’s participation in a programme, be it attendance in tutorials, archived contributions or overall feedback. We are constantly seeking to improve this in line with partner needs.
