MedicineAfrica helps organisations educate and train in low resource settings
An experienced partner
Since 2011 MedicineAfrica has been delivering successful healthcare projects in low and middle income countries
During the civil war around 90% of Somaliland's major city Hargiesa was destroyed. While a subsequent fragile peace allowed for some rebuilding of infrastructure, the healthcare sector was in crisis. In 2011 MedicineAfrica built its first custom-built platform to allow real-time training to take place between UK doctors and Somaliland medical students and health workers. Designed to work on a unreliable 2g network it set the scene for a long lasting relationship that has grown and flourished over time.
